In 1995, the Pepsi-Cola International unit of Pepsico owned the rights to 7UP outside this country and used BBDO as its agency. In this commercial for 7UP, a blindfolded man is marched to the place of his execution. Suddenly, a marketing guy interrupts the proceedings, "Pardon me sir," he says, "While you're blindfolded, would you mind helping us out?" He goes on to ask the condemned man if he prefers the taste of Diet 7UP or a leading diet Cola. It turns out that he prefers the clean crisp taste of 7UP, like most people do.
