Filming took place during the celebrations of the Hindu festival of colors, love, and spring known as Holi. Alongside the Argentine couple, the then-ambassador Octavio Paz and his wife, Marie-José Tramini, can be seen. At the beginning, the voice of Juan Perón is heard calling for silence and announcing the imminent intervention of Evita. In that speech, the president's wife reciprocates by calling for loyalty to the regime and love for Perón. Alban Berg's Piano Sonata No. 1 disrupts the tension, acting as a counterpoint to the circumstances that, according to Cortázar himself, prompted his journey to France. At the same time, Berg's sonata serves as a prelude to a recitation of John Keats' "Ode to a Nightingale," a poet Cortázar admired and whose works he translated in the years leading up to his self-imposed exile.
