East Side New York lads are organized into protective association uniformed and sent out to help the regular police keep order. Novel scenes show the boys' police at their duties. Automobiles leave Washington for long transcontinental race to Panama Exposition at San Francisco. Marines at the San Diego fair are drilled and reviewed by Rear Admiral Howard. Special educational commission from Mexico arrives in Boston to begin two-year study of the American school system as a basis for reorganization of schools in Mexico. Grace Darling, Hearst-Selig reporter, visits the foreigners who sought to enter the United States, were denied admittance and have been held since the beginning of the war. Driving furiously over Point Loma course, Earl Cooper wins big 300-mile motor race. Rajah of Galoir, India, presents British army with motor ambulances, service cars and wheeled hospitals for a Red Cross unit. Repair ship Vestal at Charlestown navy yard is called on to repair range finders of the Battleship Georgia. Interesting pictures show how this delicate task is accomplished.
