Q:
Qual é a diferença entre What makes you say that? e What makes you think so? ?
A:
To me, they are almost the same, but "what makes you think so?" sounds slightly more formal than "what makes you say that?" I probably wouldn't say "what makes you think so?" in a casual conversation, but I might say "what makes you think that?" or more often "what makes you say that?"
In addition: "What makes you think that/so?" implies just slightly more that I am in disagreement or am more unsure of whatever it is that the person just said. If I am only a little unsure or just want to keep the conversation going, "what makes you say that?" is a more casual option. This is very small and very subtle difference, again, they are almost the same.

Q:
How does this make sense? 🙂 😅

OMG!
I have 3 students (10, 12, 13 years old)
I've been teaching them English since September 2022.
They have 6 wrestling sessions a week.
And I have 2 sessions a week with them for English.
They hardly make any progress in English.
As I watched a couple of wrestling videos I started to think that these two things (my English sessions and wrestling) are probably incompatible.
I'd appreciate your opinion please 🙂
Should I continue teaching them English?
