12 Horas de Sebring

Sebring International Raceway, Sebring, Florida, USA

As 12 Horas de Sebring é uma corrida de resistência de carros esportivos e de turismo que ocorre na Sebring International Raceway, na Florida (EUA) desde 1952. É uma das corridas mais importantes deste gênero na América, junto com 24 Horas de Daytona e Mil Milhas Brasil. Antigamente era parte do calendário Campeonato Mundial de Resistência(1953-1972 e 1981) e o IMSA GT Championship (em 1973 e 1975-1998).

Traçado da corrida
12 Horas de Sebring em 1960

De 1999 a 2013, foi a corrida principal da American Le Mans Series. Ele também foi ocorrida para o European Le Mans Series em 2001, e em 2011 foi válido para o Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. Em 2012 ele foi novamente válida para o Campeonato Mundial de Endurance da FIA.

A partir de 2014, a corrida é a data de validade do United SportsCar Championship.

Entre os vencedores desta corrida são pilotos do calibre de Stirling Moss, Juan Manuel Fangio, Jacky Ickx e Mario Andretti. Audi obteve o maior número de vitórias ao longo dos anos 2000, sendo terminada pela Porsche na edição de 2008.[1]
