1. Use Textured Hair: Bobby pins hold better in slightly textured hair. If your hair is too silky or slippery, spray a little dry shampoo or texture spray on the section before twisting.
2. Anchor the Twist: Push the pin in along the base of the twist, not across it. Insert the pin at the middle of the twist, then slide it back toward the root to anchor the twist to your scalp.
3. Use Strong Pins: Make sure your bobby pins are tight and not stretched out, as loose ones won’t hold well.
