Peter Allen in The Allen Brothers

In 1959, Peter Allen paired up with Chris Bell (his father, Peter Bell was their manager) and formed a music duo known as The Allen Brothers, though they were not actually brothers. They appeared on Australian Bandstand several times in the early 1960s and were discovered by Judy Garland in Hong Kong in 1964. Their US debut was in 1965, and they parted ways in 1970.
