Office Makeover | Built-In Reveal | Home With Stefani
Our main goal for this space is to add a wall of built-ins for extra storage and to display books/etc. We’re also planning on doing a desk in the middle of the built-ins where we can set up our computers and workspace! We considered having custom cabinetry put in but the cost to have someone else do it was RIDICULOUS!! Good thing I have an ambitious DIY attitude, because doing this project myself will save us tons of $$. I’m going to break down this project step by step so you can follow along.

15K views · 241 reactions | How to Paint Laminate Furniture for Beginners! | My fool-proof method to painting just about any type of furniture! | By MrsAshleyFrench | I am going to show you how to paint any piece of furniture or cabinets and achieve a professional finish every single time. I found this nightstand at Target on clearance for $20 and I'm giving it a major makeover. I swear that this paint method I use is fool proof and it's going to leave you with a professional finish every time. First, I give the whole nightstand a light sanding with a two 20 grit sanding block. Then, I use an all-purpose cleaner and I scrub down the nightstand to both remove the dust from sanding and to remove any grease or grime that may be on it. Then I use a firm foam roller and I apply a bonding primer. I let that dry completely and then I do a very light sanding to the coat of primer using a 320 or 400 grit sanding block. Then I use a tap cloth to wipe it down and remove any of the dust from sanding. Then I'm going to use another firm foam roller and I'm going to apply my first coat of paint. When it comes to painting furniture or cabinets I swear that Benjamin Moore advanced is the absolute best. It's self love so it dries and leaves you with a super smooth hard finish every time. So after that first coat of paint is totally dry I'm going to go back and I'm going to do a light sanding again with either 320 or 400 grit sanding block then I gotta wipe it all down again with my tat cloth to remove any dust and then I'm going to apply my second coat of paint. It's extremely important that you sand between the primer coat and that first coat of paint. That's what's going to leave you with a very smooth professional looking finish and that's it. Some people would recommend doing a final clear coat but this line of paint I'm using is so good. I do not believe a top coat is needed. I've used it on lots of cabinets and furniture in my house and I've never had any issues with chipping or scratching or anything like that. So, what do you guys think of the new look of the nightstand. If you have any furniture or cabinets in your home that's needing a face lift, try this painting method to give it a makeover and let me know how it does.

I was pretty nervous starting this project but couldn’t be happier with the end result and how beautiful and durable this paint turned out! If you’re like me and don’t want to get sawdust all over the inside of your house from sanding, then this is the perfect, no fuss paint for you! I love how it turned out! Definitely a little magical!😁 Click the link in my bio for a 10% discount on this paint. #beyondpaint #beyondpaintdiy #ad | Kara Tasi Furniture Flipping / Home DIY on a budget

223K views · 8.6K reactions | POSTING AGAIN! Every time I post my Ikea built-in hack, I get asked how I paint my Ikea furniture so it doesn’t chip. Follow these steps and your paint finish will be perfect! I used water based primer, but a lot of people like shellac. That’s ok to use too. Please let me know if you have any questions! Disclaimer: know that this works for me. You might get a different result. #ikeahack #furnituremakeover #ikeabilly | Elisa Mastrocolla

Another project complete!
Another gorgeous project complete! This repeat client had us take out the old school style kitchen desk last year and swap for a double pantry, but this time around a bar/storage cabinet was the task! We love the rich blue and gorgeous acacia top combo and it tied in with the rest of the homes updates beautifully! AND we will be back in the near future to repaint her kitchen cabinets, because you know once you start projects they just snowball🤣
LAUREN BURKE | DIY + Design on Instagram: "Office built ins progress! I’ve only been working on this since October 🫠 it’s ok though, home takes time! Using ikea bases with custom doors from @fastcabinetdoors is the way to go! Cost effective and beautiful! Next up is hardware & my fun unique idea for shelves!! P.S. everyone needs a little DIY buddy like Bow the kitten 😻"
