And the government is not always a safe space one can depend on and run to, for corruption and a strong relationship between politicians and oligarchs is a huge and destructing problem for the people of the Philippines. While many are aware of how we are being deceived by the capitalists and their puppets in the government, people are left blinding themselves for the sake of surviving and supporting their families. No matter how strong our calls are, if the government chooses not to listen to the struggle of the people, the solution will never be peaceful, and yet another revolution will not only take place but ‘should’ definitely happen.

With a goal of knowing more about Simón Bolívar of the Latin American countries, José Martí, Fidel Castro, and Che Guevarra of Cuba, and Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam, the writer voices out the realizations and personal learnings gathered from the experiences of these anti-imperialist revolutionaries. The conclusions were made in connection to how these countries’ history can be related to the life-long struggles and effects of the European explorations to the Philippines.
These revolutionaries are not praised because of their socialistic and communistic beliefs alone, their efforts had led to more than just a fair and justifiable political ideology. They have opened people’s eyes that were constantly shut by the racists, sexists, and supremacists European imperialists. They have fought against not just the idea of unfair and uncertain capitalism alone--- but the continuous struggle that caused people to be deprived of what’s supposed to be their own. Their resistance, just like that of Bonifacio, did not go blind in his fight against the deceiving imperialists and capitalistic countries. If these land takers take things from their colonies in a forceful way, there will be no peaceful means of resisting their ill-gotten power and influence but to fight against them--- both by wit and force as well.
As colonized, we should learn to take a stand for what is rightfully ours. The call for equality will continue to get stronger as people realize that we are equal no matter the race, and no matter the capital wealth…

American imperialism in the country has had a variety of effects on Philippine politics, economy, education, and even among the people. The division among the beliefs of many Filipino officials has led to an unwell system of betrayal among the Philippine government and its own Generals. Luna and Sakay for example have had the biggest advances when it comes to planning and bravery in their fight against the land takers. However, their principles in question have led not to the liberty they have aimed to get, but to the massacre that they have gotten not from their enemies but from the fellow Filipinos of themselves.

Thus, the questions of struggles and rebellions were sought to be looked deeply upon and understood in a wider knowledge of its origins. It is greatly promoted that we embrace diversity and fellow countrymen regardless of their religion, priorities, and beliefs. Only when we truly understand what the problem is about, then we will be able to most effectively absorb the reality and make solutions to the modern problems of our society.

To sum it up, the writer agreed to many of the presented points of Constantino, however, a thorough understanding of the current Philippine standing was still considered.
Rizal, in question, was a hero we do not fully understand, he is a hero forcibly imposed and not thought thoroughly upon. Hence, we should not forget the contributions he gave in the spark of the revolution done by others in the past. It is indeed a fascinating confusion that led us to where we are today.

Personal biases may have appeared in building some of the concepts given in this paper, and avoidance of specific terms may have been done with aim of protecting the privacy of the writer against the possible misunderstandings from the current systems in the Philippines, hence, the truest conclusions, reflections, and assessments of the given historical events are still pursued in the goal of learning and building a certain stance. Whatever may be written in this piece is subject to change and improvement if ever presented with better understanding and knowledge.
The paper focused not on detailing the events that were already enumerated in the book, instead, the writer focused on the long effects of these regimes of Philippine puppetry in the modern aspects of the country’s society. The viewpoints given are all in accordance with the limited knowledge that the writer may have, but the reflections and given assessments were all dependent on the observable environment of the author of this piece. This paper may attack some aspects of some systems and government, but this is done only in pursuit of realization and knowledge acquisition towards and regarding our society.

A critical analysis was created in act of how the entirety of the book can relate and connect to the existing knowledge and current social issues that the writer observes. An emphasis on the effects of Spanish colonialism and American imperialism on the current struggles of Filipino people was discussed in this paper. Social issues and cultural ideologies were used as main topics in detailing the key arguments that the writer saw and derived whilst understanding and examining the concepts given by the said book of history.
As suggested and advised by the writer, Filipinos, of all ages, especially those with the privilege, must consider these key learnings in making further decisions as a citizen, as a member of the community, and as part of not only the country but also the world. A bigger picture in every aspect of life should always be considered and given attention in consideration of the sociological imagination (Mills, 1959). This is not only in respect of our origins but also in the genuine aim of advancement inside the community, as well as the goal of production of essential and practical social progress. This is all in consideration of how social issues are a consequence of personal troubles that people encounter inside a society; (and) making solutions to such issues will be a lot simpler and effective if we understand the problem and where it is coming from. Currently-existing social concerns are a product of what happened in the past, therefore, looking back and understanding the important events that built our history is very crucial in making the next steps for the betterment of the country.
Human history is the biggest trial-and-error of mankind. It is normal for people and societies to fall, fail, and get back to their feet. But appreciation and credit should not only be given to those ‘heroes’ that influenced us to where we are today, but also to the people that were not heard and silenced by the inequality, exploitation, and human struggle that they experience from the abusers of power. The people of the nation, who are the most affected by the futile actions of the government should not be forgotten nor dismissed, just as equally as how these same people should not let anything hinder them from participating and contributing something to the nation where they live in.

Mesa can do. It is meant to spark the love and nationalism within every Filipino’s heart and mind. With the goal of making a continuous lineup of partnered initiatives, the class aims to perform the following: (1) The starting event will be a slums clean-up and gathering of citizen volunteers from the same area to clean Manila slums (waterways); (2) Progress will be uploaded to different social media pages to raise money; (3) Raised money will be used to extend the project duration and/or invite more volunteer experts to educate the public; (4) Extra funds gathered will be donated to nearby charities or other organizations that will offer to continue the project through other means/initiatives; (5) Partnerships will be infinite and the goal is to make a domino effect among different organizations and LGUs to urge the masses to participate in making different volunteer programs for the betterment of all communities; and (6) Circulation of gathered funds will persist and previous partners will continue to help each other to gather more attention and publicity (done not for fame but for spreading the cause).
