About me: Hello! Quidell here! I'm a fanfic writer for fun and I live in the US. My current obsessions are Black Myth: Wukong and Vinland Saga. This blog will be mostly about my fanfic writings, but I do post some screenshots from time to time that I will use throughout my chapters that I hope will be useful to anyone else who'd like to do the same 😊

At this moment, I am not taking requests, but feel free to ask me anything on my current WIPS 🙂

Hmm, without giving too much away—toward the end of Act 1, the story might split into two paths: the main storyline and an alternate ending for Act 1 (which covers the first part of the game). Act 2 picks up after Chapter 6. And of course, there’ll be more shenanigans with Ember throwing things and embarrassing herself in front of Monkey Boy, because, well… that’s just who she is. Also, I’ve got a tag on the fic that says ‘unrealized foot fetish (as a joke)’ that I still haven’t touched yet, lol.

Also, fun fact—Ember’s actually a big fan of frogs and toads (if you couldn’t tell). I’ve got some big, funny plans for that little detail—just trying to decide whether to drop it in Act 1 or save it for Act 2

Sneak Peek: Chapter 13 of A Tale Painted with Blood

A/N: This sneak peek may change once the chapter is officially published. Also, if you’ve sent me a recent message or ask and I haven’t replied yet—I promise I’m not ignoring you! It honestly left me so flustered and embarrassed (in the best way) that I’ve been trying to calm down before responding. You guys are too kind, and I have no idea how to handle it! 🫣

"I swear, Monkey Boy, if you kill this frog, I’m hexing your staff. We’ve already got enough frog-blood on our hands!"
A jackal-faced, wolf-bodied yaoguai had sent us on a glorified fetch quest—retrieve a formula it had accidentally let a frog swallow.
Minor detail? The frog wasn’t some dainty little hopper. No, it was a lumbering beast the size of a compact elephant, stretched out like a sun-fat prince in a shallow pit amongst towering rocks, the meager puddle beneath it doing little to keep its skin from drying out. A desert was no place for a creature like that.
But god, it was beautiful.
Honestly, it might’ve been the most magical thing I’d laid eyes on. A dream frog. A fairytale fever dream made real.
And maybe I was extra about it because I’d seen one before—just as massive, just as magnificent—only for Monkey Boy to pulverize it without a second thought back at Black Mist Mountain.
I thought that was my one chance. That the universe had tossed me a frog-shaped blessing, then snatched it back just to be cruel.
But here it was again. Round two. My redemption arc.
I wasn’t just fond of frogs—I adored them. And an elephant-sized one? Please. I was already fantasizing about the glorious, full-body bear hug, slime and all. I’d let it coat me like nature’s moisturizer and call it a spa day.
…not that I’d actually do it in real life—strictly a fantasy thing. Even if this massive yellow frog turned out to be chill and didn’t launch itself at Monkey Boy the moment it spotted him, I wouldn’t go in for a hug without asking.
Probably.
As much as I wanted the dream to come true, I didn’t want it thinking I was some unhinged frog groupie. The shame of being judged by a fantasy creature I absolutely adored? Yeah, I’d never emotionally recover.

If Ember had to choose one anime to show the Destined One, which one will it be and why?

For DO probably... spirited away. Its one if her favorites.

Sun Wukong... DBZ (for obvious reasons, lol) or AOT. I can see him getting into AOT. Or maybe Gurren Lagann for its over the top-ness. If he watched DBZ, he'd probably get the itch of "Why does this Goku guy seems so familiar...I cant put my tail on it". Lol

Monday update 04/14/25 (US MM/DD/YY)

Sorry for the radio silence these past two weeks—work drama hit hard. Apparently, leaving early because my dog developed sudden acute pancreatitis (which, by the way, is a life-threatening condition in dogs!) is frowned upon in the corporate world. Who knew compassion was such a controversial concept?

All that stress earned me a fun little souvenir: a stomach ulcer. So that’s great!

Anyway, I’m (hopefully) back and finally in the headspace to write again. As some of you may have seen, I recently updated Sword and Spice. Next up is A Tale Painted with Blood, which I’m aiming to update sometime this week!

Hello! Today is Sunday, March 16th, and I have some possible bad news—I might need to go quiet on writing my fanfictions for the next two weeks. Nothing major, just a big project at work that’s going to take up a lot of my time (hello, overtime!). I’ll try to write when I can, so I’m not ruling out an update this week or next for one or both of my stories, but I wanted to give you a heads-up just in case. Sorry!

I’ll still be posting Monday updates, but tomorrow’s will likely be pretty light.
