โœจ๐ŸIntroduction Post ๐Ÿโœจ

(I'm finally remaking my introduction post that has been lost to time, yayyy)

Hey, my name is Charlie, I'm an artist and writer. I'm currently writing a FNAF Fanstory called "Frights and Friends" on my Wattpad UltimateTrashLedan, and I plan on starting to do commissions soon.

You can also find me on scratch.mit.edu as Billisnumber1 and UndertaleIsTheBest2. I'm trying to be more active on there lol

I'm nonbinary, specifically genderfluid, and I'm also pronounfluid but mainly use they/them. I'm aroaceflux, pansexual+ omnisexual, and polyamorous as well.

I like: GravityFalls, Undertale, FNAF, Pokemon, Mario, The Nightmare Before Christmas, My Little Pony,[Starting to have VERY mixed feelings about Hazbin Hotel+Helluva Boss], Inside Job, PBS kids show in general lol, Darksiders, The Elder Scrolls games, Wander Over Yonder, The Owl House(I've only watched the first season ๐Ÿ˜ญ), Bluey, Steven Universe(Haven't watch the Movie or Future), Phineas and Ferb, Ben 10, Marvel, DC (Especially like the original Teen Titans, and Batman), Invader Zim, The Amazing Digital Circus, All Dogs Go To Heaven, and More!

I think that covers it? Lol

Anyways, welcome to my blog and have a great day.

Post was unrebloggable so i went back to the tweets because this is important

Fascinating. I wonder if the terfs cheering this even understand trans men were forced out too.

Idk, seems an odd thing to support when your narrative has always been that trans men are confused women. Really does show that it's about hate, not defining "what is a woman."

Idk for TERFs but I discussed with a fair amount of GCs who had the same view: trans women are men and trans men are a limbo gender that isn't men nor women.

They wouldn't want me into the female bathroom but wouldn't concede I'm a man either. Too scary for being a woman but they're too transphobic to consider me a guy too. So weird limbo gender it is.

They don't want trans people to exist anywhere and if that means inconsistency then they're fine with that

Terfs treat womanhood like how toxic incels treat manhood: something that you can't gain but that you can lose. There's a good gender which you can be born with and a bad gender that can contaminate it so we can't let anyone Contaminated into the Pure Good Gender Club. And there can be a hundred variations of the Contaminated group, that's fine, but only one of the Pure Good Gender because that's what purity is, and all Contaminated people are unsafe so the differences don't matter really we've got to punish them all.

terfs talk constantly about trans men and use trans men as the justification for blocking trans medical care and Rowling's dissertaion mentioned trans men way more than trans women but for some reason everyone acts like terfs hate trans women only and are pro-trans man somehow. They have always hated all trans people, trans men and trans women have both always been targets.

Some women are conditioned to be fragile and weak, and to believe that it's a sin to outperform a man. Her feminism would involve allowing women to be strong.

Some women are expected to be strong at times when they can't. Her feminism would involve reassuring her that it's okay to not be strong.

Some neurodivergent people are raised to believe that they're too stupid to ever amount to anything. Their disability activism would involve reassuring them that they're capable.

Some neurodivergent people are raised to believe that they're smart and gifted, and are expected to live up to impossible standards. Their disability activism would involve allowing them to fail, make mistakes, be stupid, etc.

Some children are constantly reminded "you're the child, I'm the adult" in order to deny their autonomy. Their youth rights activism would involve treating them like an adult at times when they feel ready for it.

Some children are treated like adults in order to justify increased expectations or to downplay abuse against them. Their youth rights activism would involve allowing them to be a child.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution to oppression. Each individual person's experience is different. Whatever trauma is caused by their oppression, the activism should focus on undoing it.

the human body is so evil for inventing headaches it will throw one at you for anything. ate too little? headache. drank too little? headache. ate not the right things? headache. didnt wear your glasses? headache. took off your glasses for two fucking seconds? headache. bright light? headache. about to get your period? headache. about to get sick? headache. headphones too heavy? headache. ponytail too tight? headache. posture bad? headache. didnt sleep well? headache. slept too much? headache. didnt take your medication? headache. took your medication? headache. took an ibuprofen earlier? headache. didnt take an ibuprofen earlier? headache. RELEASE ME

Itโ€™s just so weird that I can say โ€œI was treated badly by my mother in a way that only happened because I came out as a trans man and would not have happened had I been a cis woman or a trans woman because my masculinity and status as a โ€œgender traitorโ€ was the problemโ€ and a portion of this website will look at my experiences and go โ€œyou were just experiencing general transphobia and/or misogyny :)โ€ and not take a single second to listen to what I actually said. Like I am not going to sit here and have this godforsaken website gaslight me about my own experiences when Iโ€™m about to kill myself over the way my mother treats my trans masculinity.

Being a trans man was the reason for my fucking abuse. You do not get to tell me that what I experienced was not fucking targeted.

I'm so fucking tired of listening to people carve exemptions for parental privilege out of every single principle they express. "sure it's reasonable for parents to want a say in what books their kids check out of the library, but they shouldn't be able to control what othersโ€”" NO! FUCKING NO!! THAT IS NOT REASONABLE ACTUALLY! and the kids whose parents are most invested in having that control are exactly the kids who most need to be able to access those books

Child soldiers exist, war is not an adult topic.

Children die, death/murder is not an adult topic.

The Troubled Teen Industry exists, child trafficking is not an adult topic.

Children get raped, sexual assault is not an adult topic.

Children have alcoholic parents, addiction is not an adult topic.

Children get beat to the point of hospitalization at school, that level of violence is not an adult topic.

That when these things get into "kid friendly" media at all, they tend to be heavily censored is about protecting adult control over kids, not about protecting children.

okay, you know what? Running away shouldnโ€™t be a crime. It shouldnโ€™t be dangerous, either. Any kid should be able to leave their parents if they want, for any reason. No Iโ€™m not kidding.

โ€œBut Rue, where will these kids stay? Do you want them on the streets?โ€

of course not. In an ideal world, a kids would have multiple adults other than their parents they could look to for care, but I recognize that that will never be a reality for every single child. So: youth shelters, if they have nowhere else to go. There should be clean, warm shelters where anyone under 18 can stay for as long as they need, no questions asked. (And of course shelters that arenโ€™t just for kids, but weโ€™re talking about youth rights right now)

โ€œBut Rue,โ€ I hear you say, โ€œwhat if some moody teenager runs away after an argument?โ€

First of all, Iโ€™d rather a thousand moody teenagers run away than one abused child be trapped. Second, so what if one does? A kid needs time away from their parents, so they leave. The vast majority of them will get some time to cool down and then go back home, and if they donโ€™t want to go back, period? Then nine times out of ten, they have a good reason. (Because yes, as hard as it is for you to believe, kids are humans who have common sense.)

โ€œOkay, but what about the one time out of ten the kid doesnโ€™t have a good reason?โ€

Then the kid doesnโ€™t have a good reason. It doesnโ€™t change anything. If someone wants to break up with their partner because of something stupid, you wouldnโ€™t say they legally shouldnโ€™t be able to. (And if you would, then youโ€™re just a bad person.) No one should have to be in a relationship, romantic or otherwise, that they donโ€™t want to be in.

"We reviewed your post" no I uh. I do not think that you did, actually

โ€œWe reviewed your postโ€

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.

The world is so hostile to tweens.....

Like we joke about how our schools growing up would ban the latest toy trends, but that reality genuinely horrific when you think about it. Like maybe 1% of the bans were based on safety, but the rest cited reasoning like

-"kids were bartering for collectibles" (kids learning about economics and product value)

-"kids were wearing them and the colors were too flashy" (kids experimenting with self expression and fashion)

-"kids were playing with them during lunch and recess instead of using our rusted safety hazard playground" (kids utilizing their free time to do what helps *them* unwind).

Play areas specifically geared towards children and especially towards teens are constantly being shut down. "Oh kids today are always on their phones!" Maybe because

-there are barely any arcades left and even less arcades that aren't adult-oriented,

-public pools and gyms are underfunded and shut down,

-"no loitering" laws prevent kids and teens from just hanging out,

-movie theatres only play the latest films and ticket prices are only rising,

-parks and playgrounds are either neglected or replaced with gear only directed at toddlers and unsuitable for anyone older

-genuine children's and young teen media is being phased out in favour of media directed only at very small children or older teens and adults.

-suburbs and even cities are becoming more and more hostile to pedestrians, it's just not safe for kids to walk to or ride their bikes to their friends' houses or other play destinations

Children's agency is hardly ever respected. Kids between the ages of 9-13 are either treated as babies or as full-grown adults, with no in-between. When they ask to be given more independence, they are either scoffed at or given more responsibilities than are reasonable for a child their age.

This is even evident in the fashion scene.

Clothing stores and brands like Justice and Gap are either closing or rebranding to either exclusively adult clothing or young children's clothes, with no middle ground for tweens. Tweens have to choose between clothes designed for adults that are too large and/or too mature for their age and bodies, or more clothes they feel are far too childish. For tween girls especially it's either a frilly pinafore dress with pigtails or a woman's size dress with cleavage. No wonder tween girls these days dress like they're older, it's because their other option is little girl clothes and they don't want to feel childish.

And then when tweens go to school, the books they want to read aren't available because they cover "mature" topics (read: oh no two people kissed and they weren't straight or oh no menstruation was mentioned or oh no a religion other than Christianity is depicted), so kids are left with books for way below their reading level. No wonder kids today are struggling with literacy, it's because they can't exercise and expand their reading skills with age-appropriate books. Readers need to be challenged with new words and concepts in order to grow in their skills, only letting tween read Dr. Seuss and nursery rhymes doesn't let them learn.

Discussions about substance use, reproduction, and sexuality aren't taught at an age-appropriate level in school or even by children's parents, so they either grow up ignorant and more vulnerable to abuse, or they seek out information elsewhere that is delivered in a less-than-age-appropriate manner. It shouldn't be a coin-toss between "I didn't know what sex was until I was 18 and in college" or "my first exposure to sex as a tween was through porn" or "I didn't know what sex was so I didn't know I was being sexually abused as a kid."

Tweenhood is already such a volatile and confusing time for kids, their bodies are changing and they're transitioning from elementary to middle to high school. It's hard enough for them in this stage, but it's made worse by how society devalues and fails them.

We talk about the disappearance of teenagehood, and maybe that's gonna happen in the future, but the erasure of tweenhood is happing in real time, and it's having and going to have major consequences for next generation's adults.

hot take that shouldnโ€™t be hot:

asexual/aromantic/aspec people who are also cis and straight-passing (heteroromantic ace or heterosexual aro for example) should be welcomed and accepted in the queer community
