Medical- Nurse Vintage

My mother & 4 of her sisters became nurses as part of the Army Nurse Corp program. More than 59,000 nurses served in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II. They worked closer to the front lines than ever before. They served under fire in field hospitals & evacuation hospitals, on hospital trains & ships & as flight nurses on medical transport planes. Their skill & dedication contributed to the extremely low post-injury mortality rate among American military forces in every theater of the war.
