My preschooler insisted for weeks that he only wanted to be himself for Halloween, so when he decided an owl costume might be acceptable, I ran with it. The hat is constructed from a felted sweater, with felt eyes and pupil buttons purchased at the flea market in Woodstock, NY. The bodice is an Old Navy tunic covered in "feathers" made from upholstery remnants. The pants are fleece. And the boy is mine.
