Easy Beginner Skirt- Elastic Waist

I'm a beginner at sewing. I searched and searched for a simple 1-yard skirt with an elastic waistband, but the tutorials were not very clear. So, I read a bunch or tutorials and came up with my own skirt plan that didn't involve crazy zippers and button holes (the thought of doing those TERRIFY me). (You’ll need more fabric for a floor length skirt). . Doesn’t matter is you’re a size 6 or a size 16 these measurements will work. . Waistband elastic is different to normal elastic in that it has a slight curve to it so sits a lot nicer on your waist. You can use normal elastic for this skirt - but try to find some nicer looking elastic. . My skirt is 70cm in length, and I’m 170cm tall. .
