INDIGO DYE is an organic compound with a distinctive blue color. Historically, Indigo was a natural dye extracted from the leaves of certain plants and this process was important economically because blue dyes were once rare. A variety of plants have provided indigo throughout history. But, most natural indigo was obtained from those in the genus Indigofera which are native to the tropics, notably the indian sub-continent.

High speed photography requires tons of patience and accuracy, and a London-based photographer Iain Crawford clearly has enough of both. For his Paint photo series, he would throw liquid or powder paint at his models to capture the split second when the two collide. The gorgeous paint splashes or dust clouds would cover the model's body quite like a fine piece of couture clothing.
