The ingredients sounded kind of… random (jalapeño chips? frozen peas?), but hey, I trust the guy. And it turns out, he wasn’t wrong—this tuna salad hits in a way I didn’t expect. Sweet, salt, tangy, crunchy, and a little spicy, it’s worth trying at least once. Posted @withregram • @shredhappens Here’s how I made it: Grab a big bowl, and mix together the following: -2 cans of tuna -2 squeezes of lemon juice (about HALF of a half lemon—don’t overdo it) -1 tbsp white vinegar -4 tbsp mayo mixed with 1 tsp wasabi (hello, wasabi mayo ) -1/4 finely diced red onion or 1 finely diced shallot 3-4 dill pickles, finely diced -1 apple, diced. I was supposed to use Granny Smith, but used Honey Crisp. -1 tbsp agave or maple syrup -1/3 cup corn -1/3 cup frozen peas -1 small bag of crushed jalapeño chips Mix it all together, taste, and adjust however you like. I’ll admit, I was skeptical, but every bite had so much going on in the best way possible.
