My left arm always feels tight and stiff in the morning…when I reverse engineer it, I find that my arm is extended most of the night overhead, and under a pillow. Instead of complaining about it, and letting it get worse, we have to do something about it. You know the drill. On this page, we are proactive rather than being reactive when it comes to our health! Knowing that this is getting stiff… we have to do something about it before it becomes worse. Sit in crosslegged pose. Sit up nice and tall, and use the breath to guide you through these movements. You inhale bring your arms to the side. Exhale flip the palms Inhale, bring your hands overhead and interlace your fingers With an exhale, push all the way up overhead, feel that stretch in the armpits in the shoulders Inhale keeping your arm straight in your fingers behind your back Squeeze your shorter blade together, lift the chest, bring your arms to the side! Do that three times switch your legs and do it again for another three times And VOILA!!! This... | By WeShape | Before you start your day, I want to show you one movement that you can do that's going to make your whole body feel amazing, alright? So, here's how to do it with perfect form. It's called a tabletoplift. Make sure you follow along slow and controlled and only go as far as you can, alright? Don't push yourself too far on this exercise because it's going to require you building both strength and flexibility through your entire body and that's really important to us because at WeShape, we don't focus on giving you movements or workouts that help you change the way you look. That's superficial and that we feel like that's the past. Instead, we focus on giving you movements and workouts that help you feel better in your body. It's about caring for yourself not trying to change yourself, alright? So, follow along to this one movement that you can do first thing in the morning to feel amazing, alright? You're going to start in a seated position and you take your fingertips and you're going to point them backwards like this behind you. Now, from there, pull your shoulders back and lift your chest just a bit, okay? This is really important. Don't let your shoulders come forward and your background like this. Immediately, you should feel these muscles kind of tighten back here and these muscles start to loosen up in the front of the body. Now, place some weight on your heels. You can bend your knees a little bit if this is your first time doing it too and what you're going to do is you're going to curl your heels like dig your heels into the ground as you do this and you're trying to lift your hips up as high as you can. Now, I'm going to come up to a full table top like this where I'm straight from my knees, through my hips, through my shoulders but you might be able to only get to here. Today and that's totally fine. Come back down, rest for a second, reset the shoulders, and repeat. Lift and hold for a second. Squeeze those glutes at the top. Drive those heels into the ground. Let those shoulder blades come back and down and then come back down and repeat and you can do this for say five to 10 repetitions and once you're done, stop and see how it feels. Your upper body should feel a lot looser. Your hips should feel a lot looser. Everything should feel significantly better when you just do this movement first thing in the morning 'cuz remember that, you're only one movement away from feeling better in your body.
