Authentic New York City “Dirty Water” Hot Dogs
Another, (easier), way to do this is to use Beef Broth, Ketchup, Worchestershire sauce (or even Steak Sauce), Onion Soup Mix, Garlic Powder, Chili Powder, Cumin, Salt, Brown Sugar and a large wedge-sliced Onion. Start with BEEF Hot Dogs. SLOW COOK in a crock at least half the day so the dogs soak up the flavors. This isn't a quick-fix, 5-minute, stove-top, type-thing! -- Topped with shredded cheddar and honey mustard or spicy mustard (Gulden's).
