Add the cheese, flour and salt to a food processor and pulse several times. Add in the butter and pulse a few more times, until the dough is crumbly. Add in the milk, then pulse several more times. The dough won’t come together in a ball, but it should come together when you press it between two fingers. Transfer to a lightly floured surface. Roll into a large rectangle, rolling as thinly as possible. We go even thinner than ⅛-inch as they puff up quite a bit when baking. Using a knife, pizza cutter or fluted pastry wheel, slice into 1-inch squares. Use the flat end of a skewer to poke a hole all the way through each cracker. Transfer to sheet pans and sprinkle with more salt. Bake for 17-20 minutes, until deep golden brown on the bottom of each cracker. If they are too light, they won’t have much crisp. Let cool completely before enjoying! | Crowded Kitchen
1M views · 5K reactions | Fancy Fruit & Nut Crackers | Fancy Fruit & Nut Crackers | By Crowded Kitchen | I've always loved those fancy fruit and nutcrackers that you see on cheeseboards but didn't realize that they're actually really easy to make at home and definitely more affordable than store bought. The process is as easy as making a batter that you bake in loaf pans than freeze, slice thinly, and bake a second time until the crackers are golden brown and crispy. You can really use just about any dried fruits and nuts or seeds. This is a perfect recipe to save for the holidays.

Healthier than store bought and so easy to make 3oz parmigiano Reggiano grated (or your favorite cheese like cheddar) 2 tbsp butter, cubed 1 tbsp whole milk or (2 tbsp sourdough discard) 1/2 cup all purpose flour Pinch of salt 1/4 tsp dried thyme (optional) Place everything in a food processor and pulse until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a disc, wrap and put in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment and dust a clean surface with flour. Roll the dough out as thin as possible. The thinner the crackers, the crispier they will get. Use a round cookie cutter to cut shapes. Bake at 325 for 15-20 minutes #recipe #diy #cheese #sourdough #snack | Cassandra Wardrope

107K views · 4.3K reactions | Easiest way to use up discard, and you don’t really need a recipe! For every 100g of discard, add 1 TBSP of butter. Add any seasonings or add-ins you like. A full size sheet pan can fit 200-300g of discard, spread thin. I did 400g on one sheet pan and it was too thick in the middle, so that is tried and tested! #sourdoughcrackers #sourdoughdiscard #sourdoughdiscardrecipe | Rebekah Parr - I’m That Sourdough Gal | thatsourdoughgal · Original audio
