If you were using appliances every day, it’s actually quite annoying to have to bend over and plug and unplug appliances under a cabinet. And most times if there is an appliance sitting out there, it is blocking the outlet anyway. Like anything this is a personal preference and certainly there are scenarios where maybe there’s an area where you aren’t going to use appliances and you don’t want to see outlets.
