little red door paris Red Street, Door Bar, Cocktails Bar, Red Door, Rock Cafe, Hard Rock Cafe, Cocktail Bar, Travel And Leisure, Hidden Gems

We are thirsty, too classy for a J&B/coke, and too cool for mojitos at Hard Rock Cafe, so we're always looking for the next cocktail venue. This new one doesn't disappoint. After entering through a little red door, reminiscent of Alice's portal into Wonderland, we discovered a NYC-style speakeasy/cocktail bar with a typical North Marais crowd and a mix of international babes and local fashionistas.

We spent 4-5 months thrifting, DIY-ing and building to turn a dirty old 110-y/o basement into our dream space, and then we left it four months later to move to Chicago! 😭😭🌭🌭

From the hidden door, to the tiled zellige arch, we left no detail unturned. But our basement here in Chicago doesn’t even know what’s up!… Chicago-style speakeasy coming your way…in 2023 maybe? 😂🙌💁🏻‍♀️

Love the rich, inviting color. (Also love the # is 123). Speakeasy Door, Red Windows, Red Hotel, Chinese Door, Chinese Home, Bookstore Cafe, Hotel Door, Washington Square Park, Washington Square

I have passed this door several times walking home from Washington Square Park, and each time I go by I think about what a great address "123" is. Although, come to think of it, I grew up around four and five digit address and always thought about how cool it would be to have an address below 100 and coincidentally have since 2003. I will shut up now.
