Is this accidentally inspired by Witch Hat Atelier? Apparently.XD (I swear I only realised while doing the finishing touches.I blame it on me adding a cape.XD)

Hello, fellow internet person

I just wish to ask questions about about your superhero characters, if that was okay with you.

1. How do their powers work? some of them have elemental powers, can they just magically generate energy if from nothing or do they manipulate things from an outside source.

2. Where did they get their costumes? can they magically change clothes like power rangers/magical girls or do they manually put them on?

3. How do they recharge their powers? do they need to eat to fill up their energy or do they just meditate to restore energy?

4. A specific question for Spellbound, if she has magical powers, does she know any magic spells? does she have any other magical powers besides telekinesis and telepathy?

5. Do the hero team have their own superhero headquarters or do they just hang out at a friends house and call it their headquarters?

Hello!

There are both sci-fi and magical sources for various super powers. Most of the kids either develop their powers slowly or suddenly after a weird event, and a few were born with these abilities, but weren’t aware of it at first. When it comes to the elemental abilities; Lisa is able to create fire out of her own energy (this can be tiring, or even impossible if she’s in a small space without enough air- the fire still needs oxygen to burn), and Bobby’s powers are actually a form of absorbing/enhancing other abilities (he doesn’t understand that at first) so he can basically do what she does. They both can control existing fire, but it is sometimes difficult because “real” fire can be more destructive (adding their own energy to it is literally adding fuel to the fire). Deke needs plant matter around him in order to make things grow/move (this means he also has to work with what exists; he can’t make an oak tree grow where there aren’t any acorns, etc). Tess has water powers, and this also needs to exist around her for it to be useful, same for Ella and metal (she can change magnetic fields, liquefy/re-shape it, etc). The mass/weight of the metal object can require more effort from her (she feels the strain when she has to hold up the metal of a falling building), and if the metal is moving on it’s own (like a robot or machine) it requires a lot of energy to make it do what she wants.

They could use too much energy and get worn-out, so they need to rest and recharge afterwards. Some of their powers have some very specific restrictions that they need to figure out and be aware of, and some of the kids also have their own physical limitations, so they’re careful not to push themselves too hard (or at least, they TRY). The kids definitely need to eat to keep their energy up, and sleeping/meditating/general relaxing helps (Cloe’s powers are also connected to the moon; at first she can’t use powerful magic in the day, but as time goes on, she figures out how to charge-up at night, so she can use magic whenever she wants). Cloe/Spellbound has some general magic she can use, but she begins collecting references for real magic spells she can do (she figures out that all magic isn’t “the same”, and sometimes she either has to do an incantation or use magical ingredients for certain things. she keeps her own book of magic for reference, which she can summon whenever she needs it). Some of her powers are what could be called “dark magic”, she can recognize when something is cursed or if a place is haunted

Early on, before they become a whole team, some of the kids make their own costumes with whatever they have on their own, but for the hero kids in particular, once they’re all a little more organized in a group, Min wants to re-design cooler outfits for them (since she’s the fashionable one). Once the costumes are all done, Cloe is the one who uses her magic so they will be slightly more durable, and also allows each of the kids to kind of have their own “summoning” spell (so they can magical-girl-transform into their hero costumes whenever they want to change. the villain kids go through something similar, but with more high-tech solutions).

The kids usually meet at Lisa’s home for hero reasons (her family is the most chill about letting them take care of themselves; her older sibs and grandpas definitely care about Lisa and her friends, they just aren’t over-bearing). Eventually, they find a place in the woods, on the side of a cliff, where they basically make a super hero club house (each kid also has a list of ways to contact each other for regular stuff or super stuff, so they all know when something is serious)
