European route E 30 is an A-Class Wast-East European route, extendin frae the soothren Erse port o Cork in the wast tae the Roushie ceety o Omsk in the east. For much o its Roushie stretch, it coincides wi Trans-Siberian Highway an, east o the Ural Muntains, wi AH6 o the Asie Highway Network, which continues tae Busan, Sooth Korea.

[eedit | eedit soorce]The E 30 is ane o the langest European routes wi a tot length o aboot 5,800 km (3,600 mi)—3,300 km (2,100 mi) frae Cork tae Moscow, 2,500 km (1,600 mi) frae Moscow tae Omsk. The namin is bi the Unitit Naitions Economic Commission for Europe.
Formerly the route anly went frae Cork tae Samara, wi an eften reportit length o 4,912 km (3,052 mi).
Formerly, afore 1985, this wis the E 8 (London–Berlin–Brest).

Ireland

Roushie
[eedit | eedit soorce]The Roushie stretch o this road coincides pairtly wi the Asie Highway Network's AH6 (though this latter highway passes through Petropavl, Kazakhstan in its stretch atween Chelyabinsk an Omsk, unlike the E 30). The E 30 follows the Roushie main road M1 Belarus-Moscow, M5 Moscow-Chelyabinsk an M51 Chelyabinsk-Kurgan. It gangs alang minor roads past Ishim in order tae avoid the Kazak border taewards Omsk.
