Complete the Picture

Completing symmetrical pictures, with the purpose of having the children think outside the routine manner of drawing where one attempts to duplicate exactly what one sees. Here instead, the child is drawing a flipped version of what he or she sees. This is a beautiful problem solving task. To a great degree, art is all about problem solving as the artist determines how to best express a concept or represent an image to the eye of the onlooker.
