Sandpaper letters and sounds

Here we are using the light weight sand paper letters from amazon.com, and matching things that start with those sounds. The child traces the letter and says the sound. Then the child is given an object to say the name of and match the sound. Easily stored with on-the road travel, and is multiple age use for easy and more advanced lessons.

Montessori math bars in use learning teens the tangible way. We use these small, easily stored, math bead bars that I make, to teach teens, the concept of tens, the idea of squared, etc. They love to touch them and be able to see the way numbers change and can be manipulated.
