This is potentially the most niche sewing experiment I’ve ever conducted and it was all inspired by how intimidating beautiful fabric/trim can be. Sometimes you just have to entirely reevaluate your cushion making method before going big. Four mini practise cushions later and I have some learnings to share with the class…

1. It turns out I like a tapered corner! It eliminates ‘dog ears’ and makes a friendlier, cuddlier, chubbier looking cushion.
2. Right angled corners become even more pointy, empty and pronounced when you add trim/piping.
