To me it just resembled glass and I thought that there were so many possibilities. I thought to myself that’s it, I’ve officially gone too trashy ha ha but I wonder if that’s how people felt when they first started crafting with toilet paper rolls and now it’s just a really popular crafting material. It has made me really happy to see other people playing around with used plastic because the truth is that no matter how conscious we try to be about our waste, there will always be some amount of plastic. I even have friends and family who saved theirs for me. 🌿 Nicky🌻| eco crafts for my littlies and me! on Instagram: "🍂 Stained glass effect sun catcher 🍂 ✨ Save for a seasonal project It’s no secret that we love suncatchers – they’re perfect for adding a little brightness to even the gloomiest of days! 🍂 Autumn leaves was the natural choice for this project, and I’m obsessed with how they turned out. This is my go-to technique, using scraps of flat plastic packaging, inspired by the amazing @sibster. You can draw your designs freehand or trace over a template (which you can grab via my Linktree or check my stories). For the outlines, I use black glue— a simple mix of equal parts black acrylic paint and PVA glue. Pro tip: mix it in a bottle with a nozzle for easy application!
