This week I used a brain teaser routine to practice steady beat and meter combined with coordination, memory, focus, and persistence with grades 2-5. In this video, you can see one of my 2nd grade classes performing at the end of our lesson. It took a few practices 🤪😁, but they did it!! The smiles and pride at the end... Absolutely heart-melting. My heart is full! 

This routine is inspired by the Haitian dance called “Ti Kabrit”. I saw a YouTube video a few years ago, their routine was way more complicated and they used different music. Since then, I’ve always wanted to try it in my class, so I created this easy twist with a clear count of the beats.
