A Legacy Estate

This vacation home is perched high on a cliffside in rural Maine between nesting sites for bald eagles. The house takes its inspiration from large vacation estates common in the early 1940’s and brings it into the 21st century by integrating steel, stone, and heavy timbers. The timbers feature a custom burnt and brushed finish that gives a feeling of warmth to the structure when combined with the steel and stone elements of the design.
