PurposeThis study aims to assess the mediating effect of sustainable competitive advantage (SCA) ... more PurposeThis study aims to assess the mediating effect of sustainable competitive advantage (SCA) on the relationship between organisational innovativeness (OI) and performance of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in Konya, Turkey.Design/methodology/approachA survey method is used to collect the necessary data for this research. A total of 264 respondents from 83 SMEs partook in the study. In choosing the sample size, both purposive sampling and simple random techniques are used. The data gathered are analysed using SPSS program and Hayes PROCESS macro v.3.4.1.FindingsThe results of the analyses reveal that OI has a statistically significant positive effect on SCA and firm performance (FP). Makale Kategorisi: Araştırma Makalesi Amaç-Bu çalışmanın amacı, çalışanların örgüt iklimine ilişk... more Makale Kategorisi: Araştırma Makalesi Amaç-Bu çalışmanın amacı, çalışanların örgüt iklimine ilişkin algılarının örgüt temelli özsaygı ve öznel iyi oluş üzerindeki etkisini belirlemektir. Yöntem-Çalışma Konya ilinde Büsan Organize Sanayi Bölgesi'nde Kobi çalışanları üzerinde (N:157) gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma için birincil veri toplama aracı olan anket yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan anket verileri SPSS programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular-Analiz sonuçları, örgüt ikliminin örgüt temelli özsaygı ve öznel iyi oluş üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve pozitif bir etkisi olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca sonuçlar göstermiştir ki, örgüt temelli özsaygı öznel iyi oluş üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve pozitif bir etkiye sahiptir. Tartışma-Kobi çalışanları üzerinde gerçekleştirlen bu çalışmada, örgüt ikliminin örgut temelli özsaygi ve öznel iyi oluşuolumlu yönde etkilediği gözlenmiştir. Çalışanların örgüt içerisinde algıladıkları iklimin hem örgüte duydukları saygıyı, hemde birey olarak kendilerine ilişkin değerlendirmeleri etkileyebileceği görülmektedir. Bu anlamda çalışmanın alana katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

Corporate bodies have come to the realisation that establishing a strong rapport with surrounding... more Corporate bodies have come to the realisation that establishing a strong rapport with surrounding communities is vital for the growth, success and survival of their organisations. This article delves into Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of business organisations operating in Ghana. Specifically, it looks at how CSR initiatives of sampled companies contribute to community development (CD). To attain this aim, both quantitative and qualitative research approaches were adopted. The purposive sampling technique was used to select companies operating in three main sectors of the economy. Secondary data sources such as companies’ periodicals, annual reports, websites, newspapers and publications by government agencies were used. The findings of the study reveal that the selected companies engaged in various forms of CSR activities that contribute to CD. There general focus of these companies is on education, health and people empowerment. It is recommended that stakeholders’ engagement needs to be fully practised in the course of CSR implementation.
