Objectives: (1) The study was to determine the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia among adolesc... more Objectives: (1) The study was to determine the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia among adolescent girls in the field practice areas of a medical college of GautamBuddha Nagar district and (2) to assess the risk factors associated with iron deficiency anemia among adolescent girls in the field practice areas of a medical college of GautamBuddha Nagar district. Methods: A school-based cross-sectional study was conducted to assess the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls of the field practice areas of the medical college of Gautam Buddha Nagar District. The sample size came out to be 236. One school each from RHTC and UHTC was selected randomly, and all adolescent girls were enrolled in the study. Results: The present study was conducted on 684 adolescent females (251 from RHTC and 433 from UHTC) in our study period of 3 months. Aims: 1) To assess the impact of telemedicine on health care services in the primary health cente... more Aims: 1) To assess the impact of telemedicine on health care services in the primary health center. 2) To determine patient satisfaction and barriers to telemedicine among the study subjects. Study Design: A cross sectional study. Place and Duration of Study: Urban Health And Training Centre, Delhi National Capital Region from July 2017 to June 2019 Methodology: All the patients attending telemedicine unit after taking their consent were interviewed using a questionnaire that was designed with questions about patient appointments, perceived advantages, disadvantages and barriers to telemedicine along with telehealth satisfaction questionnaire. Results: A total of 390 patients were surveyed. There were 157 male and 233 female respondents with the mean age of 36.18 (±11.26) years In all, 72 % of the study subjects had not previously heard of telemedicine. Background: School teachers in government schools are contributing in eye screening of students t... more Background: School teachers in government schools are contributing in eye screening of students through school health services. The private schools also need to contribute more in these services by raising the knowledge regarding vision, healthy practices for healthy eyes and vision as well as screening of the eyes for refractive errors. The study aims to find the knowledge levels of private school teachers regarding healthy vision practices and eye screening, train the teachers in eye screening and assess the level of improvement in their knowledge after the training.

Government of India is providing for the elderly through various social security and welfare schemes as well as legislations. But various studies, mostly in rural areas have shown that the awareness regarding these schemes was poor and incomplete. Utilization of schemes by the beneficiaries was even poorer. Very few studies have assessed the same in urban areas. Aims & Objectives: To assess the awareness and utilization of geriatric welfare schemes and factors associated with them among urban elderly. Material & Methods: The study was conducted in urban field practice area of Dept of Community Medicine, SMS&R, Greater Noida. 402 elderly living in slums of Bhangel, Noida, were interviewed using semi structured questionnaire assuming 50% awareness levels in the urban area with 10% relative precision and 95% confidence interval.
