2012 Summer Paralympics

2012 edition of the Summer Paralympics

The 2012 Summer Paralympic Games, the fourteenth Summer Paralympic Games, took place in London, England, United Kingdom.[1] 4,237 athletes from 164 countries were at the Games. People with these types of disabilities competed at the games: spinal injury, amputee, blindness, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and Les Autres.[2] It is the second sport event held in the United Kingdom after the 2012 Summer Olympics. Growing interest in Paralympic sport worldwide and Great Britain's success during the recent Summer Olympics made more people want tickets than ever before, breaking many sales records.[3]
