18th century jacket pattern - the elbow part is the same as Claire's (blue) jacket from the 2nd half season. The back part gives a nice alteration to the #Outlander style

Diary of a Mantua Maker: Jackets: Bedgown, patterned from Diderot. I know there is a commercial pattern based on this, but I was curious to see what alterations had been made from the original. It's really all one piece with the seams up the sides, very geometric design. The back collar would probably fit a woman with 18th century posture better, since their shoulders sit further back than ours.

Waugh's description of the dress is: 'A round robe of very fine soft white muslin with frills of self material. The bodice lining is of firmer cotton, and the backs of both lining and bodice are cut the same. The bodice and skirt are sewn to the waistband, except the left side front, which from the centre front to the side opening is gathered into a narrow band 5½" long.'
