23K views · 130 reactions | Struggling to get your child to read? 👉🏽👉🏽Follow @phunphonics_and_magicmaths for creative reading ideas! Children can often resist reading. They can find it boring or difficult and it’s isn’t always taught in a way that excites in school, turning it into a battle for you at home! How about changing the narrative? Reading doesn’t have to be about books! Why not create a sensory experience? I promise your child will be excited to try this and to read their secret messages. You could create secret messages for your child to read or they could even write message for you, allowing them to work on their writing and spelling skills! Either way, we want children to associate reading and writing with FUN! Often, when a child resists, we just need to be better at incentivising! Want to know more about how to engage and excite your child to read? ⬇️ Drop the word “SENSORY” in the comments, and I’ll send you a link to watch my FREE TRAINING straight to your DMs! 53K views · 3.2K reactions | Correct order to teach alphabet . 🙏 Thank you for all the love you ‘ ve shown me on my previous reel😍. In this one , i aim to provide further clarity on the topic i discussed earlier. In the past ,following the A - Z order for teaching the alphabet made sense for its systematic approach. However, modern education recognizes the limitations of this rigid sequence ‼️⚠️ ✔️Development Progression: Children’s cognitive development and motor skills vary , so a one -size-fits-all- A -Z approach may not cater to individual learning needs. ✔️Phonetic Consideration:Teaching letters based solely on their alphabetical order doesn’t necessarily align with phonetic principles. Tips : ✔️introduce one type at a time ✔️use tracing sheets ✔️encourage proper pencil grip and practice with fun activities like finger painting or drawing in sand. 182K views · 1K reactions | Read the comment section to get the details about this hack plus my comprehensive guide on why pencil grip matters and how to help your kiddos master it! ✍️ I have 4 kids and 2 of them naturally held their pencil correctly as early as the toddler years, but my other 2 were the opposite and needed extra support to learn this skill! Don’t be discouraged if you see other kids picking it up more quickly—every child is different, and mastering pencil grip can take time and a ton of repetition. ❤️ Save this post so you don’t forget about this hack!If you’re new here, hi 👋 I’m Michelle — follow @7daysofplay to see all of our fun ideas! 😍 #BacktoSchool #momhack #momtips #parenthack #prewritingskills #prek #kindergarten | 7 Days of Play | 7 Days of Play · Original audio

This simple yet sweet experience makes reading special and exciting for my students. (Sparking dopamine for max engagement =exponential growth)🌌📖 Comment “reading stars” for your link to the Reading Under the Stars items and EDITABLE sheets! 👇🏼 1️⃣ Flashlights 2️⃣ Plastic Sheets (Amazon) 3️⃣ Expo Markers 4️⃣ YouTube Video (Under the Stars) Here’s how it works: - **Monday - Wednesday**: We practice reading together using my joy filled EDITABLE phonics sheets. (These are perfect to differentiate as the year progresses) - **Thursday**: Students are ready to read on their own. I play relaxing music on YouTube with a galaxy or stars video, hand out flashlights, markers, and erasers, and set a 15-minute timer. 🌟🔦 They LOVE IT! 💖 P.S. Clear expectations and rules are crucial. If students play with their lights, they know they’ll have to hand them back. Consistency is key! ⭐️ Want to create this magical experience in your classroom?
