Devotion Scripture: Ephesians 1:13
"And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit" -Ephesians 1:13 When we accept Christ, we are marked by the Holy Spirit. He is with us at all times, our comforter and sustainer, and our direct line to God the Father. When we yield to Him, He produces the fruits of the Spirit in our lives. #bible
Devotion Scripture: Acts 4:12
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" -Acts 4:12 There is only one way to be saved, and that is through Jesus Christ. He is our only way to eternity in Heaven. It is not by might or power but by the Spirit of God that we can be made new and have eternal life. Because of Christ's sacrifice on Calvary, we can be reconciled back to the Father. He is the only way to salvation! #bible
Devotion Scripture: Colossians 3:3-4
"For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." -Colossians 3:3-4 Our flesh and sin are killed and washed clean by the blood of Jesus. Because we died with Him, we will also be raised up with Him. Our old self dies, and we are given a new life in Christ. Our present sufferings won't end, but we can rest assured knowing that we will someday be with the Father for eternity! #bible
Devotion Scripture: John 6:40
"For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” -John 6:40 It is the Father's will that all creation believe in the Son and spend eternity in heaven with Him. But because He is a loving God, He gives us the choice to follow His plan for our lives or our own. While our plan is usually easier, His plan is always better. If we put our faith in Him, we will have eternal life through Christ. #bible
Devotion Scripture: John 4:24
"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth" -John 4:24 Jesus asks us to worship according to His word and also be in His presence. We sometimes get caught up in one or the other, but it is essential to do both. When we choose one over the other, we become out of alignment with the Lord. When we worship only in truth, we lose sight of His presence; when we worship only in spirit, we can seek only an experience with God. #bible
Devotion Scriptures: Psalm 65:11
“You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.” -Psalm 65:11 As we enter a new year let us not forget that we have the same God. Because of Christ we no longer have to live in lack, but can thrive in abundance. There is no better year than this one to truly rely on Him. He will turn your year from broken to whole. He can redeem the hurt and pain you have and make you healed. So as you go into this new year, consider giving your heart to Jesus. #bible
Devotion Scripture: Matthew 5:8
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." -Matthew 5:8 To see God is to know Him. And to know Him is to know His word. His word says that we are to be like Christ, and to be like Him is to be pure in heart. When our hearts are clean, we are walking in accordance with His will for our lives. Our God is pure in nature. His heart is to see His people follow Him and seek His face. He will cleanse us of all unrighteousness if we let Him. #bible
Devotion Scripture: Luke 2:11
"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord." -Luke 2:11 Today, thousands of years ago, the Messiah was born in Bethlehem. He came humbly in a manger to a virgin woman. He was to be the Savior of the world. Because of His birth, we reap the benefits of His death. Although today was filled with love, family, gifts, and more, let us not forget the true meaning of today. That Christ was born so He could be a ransom for many. #jesus
Devotion Scripture: Romans 8:18
"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us." -Romans 8:18 As Christians, we will experience trials and tribulations. We will suffer in our earthly bodies, but that suffering is nothing compared to what will be revealed to us in Christ. His glory is far more valuable and essential than our current struggles. Through it all, keep your eyes on Him because He is worthy of all suffering. #bible #bibleverse
Devotion Scripture: Proverbs 22:4
"Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life." -Proverbs 22:4 What does fearing the Lord look like? It looks like recognizing God's holiness and being reverent to Him. It looks like making yourself lowly so Christ may be exalted above all. When we humble ourselves and give God all the glory, He will honor us for that. He will exalt the humble and humble the exalted. #bible
Devotion Scripture: Romans 8:39
“nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” -Romans 8:39 Nothing that we could ever do could keep us from the love of God. His love is so vast and so deep that there is nowhere we can go that it will not find us. His love touches even the deepest and darkest parts of ourselves. We are His creation. Like an artist loves his art or a potter loves his clay, God loves us. He loves us because we are His.
Devotion Scripture: James 1:20
"human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." -James 1:20 Because we live in a broken and flawed world, we are bound to encounter things that make us angry. Although anger is not a sin, what you do afterward could be. We can either act on that anger in a negative way or yield the fruit of the spirit. When we allow God to bring justice instead of seeking revenge, He will always win. He is the great judge, so we can have peace knowing He will fight our battles for us.
Devotion Scriptures: 1 John 5:2-3
“This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands.” -1 John 5:2-3 To love others as we are supposed to, we must follow the Lord’s commands. His commands are perfect in every way. When we love God and His people, we keep in alignment with the Lords will. He is a good Father who leads His children to righteousness and not destruction. #bible #bibleverse #scripture #devotional
Devotion Scriptures: Matthew 4:17
“From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” -Matthew 4:17 The kingdom of heaven is near and the return of Christ is coming soon. We need to be preaching repentance and salvation to all. As Christians, our mission is to know God and make Him known. We are the mouthpiece for the Lord. So it is time we begin to unashamedly preach the word to all because we may be their only chance of hearing the gospel. #scripture
Devotion Scripture: Psalm 100:4
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!” -Psalm 100:4 We are to give praise and thanksgiving to the Lord daily. He has blessed us with Hi son, Jesus, who graciously died on a cross for our sins. He bore the weight of our iniquities and cleansed us of all unrighteousness. Because of Him, we are able to spend eternity with the Father. Give thanksgiving to the Lord today, for He has given you a Savior! #thanksgiving #bibleverse #jesus
