We've got a can of southwest corn that drained. I only need half of the can. Mm. It's about half. We're going to mix this up here. What are we making today? We're making some Mexican cornbread but we've added in a pound of sausage with it. To see how different you know it will be. This is a half a cup of vegetable oil. One cup of whole milk. Three eggs, Okay. I'm going to mix those eggs up before I throw in my cornmeal. Now you're going to mix one cup of self-rising cornmeal. You can use white or yellow whichever one is fine. Got our oven heated to 425 degrees. I've got a iron skillet here. Well they said it was iron when we purchased it and I don't really it's too light for me. We don't know what it is. Man I said it is but it's awful light to be cast iron skillet. Have you seen that movie Dark Waters? I haven't. It was about that company that was making pots and pans. They thought they it was a like I don't think it's called and it was Pyrex but it was some sort of you can get going. Okay. It was some sort of this is Crisco in the pan. Yeah. It was some sort of the the non-stick coating. Mhm. That they were making on the pans. They were dumping the remains into a local like lake or river or something. Oh that's no good. And they they like made a movie about it. Oh wow. Mhm. Okay well we've got it in our cast iron skillet. Just grease it with some Crisco beforehand. Mhm. We're going to bake this at 425 for 30 minutes or until your toothpick comes clean. Okay. We did have it cooked about 20 minutes instead of. Oh it looks nice and full. Yes. And I did the toothpick test. Mhm. And it is clean. So I can alright let's flip this thing. Let's go. One. Two. Two. Three. Oh. Oh wow. Perfect. Smells good. Look at that. Mhm. Tyler wants a small piece. A small piece. Sun's still full from blood. Okay. Well we'll give you a little small piece sir. Look at that. Oh wow. It's is a little got a twist in it. This has got some sausage in this Mexican cornbread. It looks a little hot. Well it's alright son. It's been chilling for about 30 minutes. Yeah it really has. But that cast iron skillet keeps it warm. Caught of because of conduction. He Your sausage adds it. Mm. You like it? That's really good. There you go folks. It's really really good. It is good.
