I have a love and hate relationship with the word “Intimacy.” In my experience, it used to be the “shush” word as it used to reflect sexuality, and sexuality like its a bad and nasty thing, not like one of the most beautiful gift that God has given us to be experienced in the right time with the right person. More often than not, when we think of intimacy, we think of sex. But intimacy is so much more than sexual experiences. Intimacy is when we are connected on a deeper level, and it comes in many different forms. It can be physical, emotional, intellectual, creative, conflictual, work, experiential, aesthetic, spiritual, social, etc.
