One does not need to be a control freak in order to want to control most or all aspects of their life. Unfortunately, the reality is that there are many things in our lives we have no control over. Accepting the fact that we cannot control certain situations or certain people, especially partners

Believing you can control others’ emotional lives inevitably means believing they can control yours. You can’t hold one belief without the other.
