Mardi Gras & Carnival Wedding

Beginning on Three King's Day & till the day before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is French for "Fat Tuesday", reflecting the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the Lenten season. In 1723, the capital of Louisiana became New Orleans. In 1837, the first Mardi Gras parade held in New Orleans is recorded. The tradition expanded to the point that it became synonymous with the city in popular perception. The slogan, Laissez les bons temps rouler, (Let the good times roll).
