Greetings from...

Long before Instagram, mid-century Americans showed off their travels by sending these familiar bright, graphically illustrated linen postcards. Many of these were designed by German immigrant Curt Teich, who started what became a wildly successful trend in 1931. The Visual Studies department of the Library of Virginia has a large collection of postcards and here are just a few of these "large letter" delights.
