If your soup looks watery to you thicken your soup with a cornstarch slurry that is 2 parts cornstarch to 1 part water or start with 2 Tablespoons cornstarch in a cup add water to cup until cornstarch turns from a paste to a watery look when your soup is just about done start adding this watery thickener to soup stir gently until you get a creamy silky consistency that coats the back of the spoon add in half or all, I want you to keep the liquid so that everyone can get seconds, watery soup can also be thickened to creamy, you can smash some of the beans to thicken. Please consider adding fresh basil to Tomato soup at the end also for sweetness. Chick FIL A chicken noodle soup is too easy it's flavorful, and delicious with minimal effort, hack for the Mafalda noodle by boiling and cutting a lasagna noodle either lengthwise first and again across, or use bowtie, mini farfalle, this is a good soup to teach college students to make as there is not much chicken in CFA's soup, saltines are a nice touch, they will fall back on this soup when feeding their own family.
