Wyer & Co. | Mosman Grounds

This home pays homage to a bygone era, a collection of outdoor spaces demarcated by a grand and comprehensive plant palette. Taking cues from the architecture and era of the build, Sydney landscape design practice, Wyer & Co. proposed a lush botanical garden filled with textural low- and mid-level plantings.

Mosman Grounds — At the entrance to this heritage garden in Sydney’s Mosman, a delicate canopy of Betula Nigra or ‘Tropical Birch’ casts dappled light upon a combination of low- and mid-level plantings. Our Founder, Anthony Wyer designed this new side entrance with a custom decorative gate to match the era of the home.

Similar to a botanical garden, it has been borrowed, developed, and passed on through the generations.” our Founder, Anthony Wyer says.

Mosman Grounds
Mosman Grounds — A canopy of Tropical Birch (Betula Nigra) casts dappled light onto the Sapthiphyllum (Peace Lily). There is something so special about the striking Spathiphyllum (Peace Lily). In some cases, with devoted care and attention, they can grow up to 6m tall, making them perfect additions to the plant palette to add a dimensional quality to mid-level plantings. Associated with peace and quiet, making them appropriate plants for those looking to bring a sense of calm into their garden.

Mosman Grounds
Mosman Grounds — this home pays homage to a bygone era, a collection of outdoor spaces demarcated by a grand and comprehensive plant palette. Taking cues from the architecture and era of the build our team proposed a lush botanical garden filled with textural low-and mid-level plantings while an overhaul of the garden’s underplanting provided opportunity for the client to make their mark on the heritage home. A key focus was to give each zone of the 1,412 sq m landscape a sense of purpose, be that by creating a better-defined entrance, a more enclosed pool area or a modernised entertaining zone.
