common snapping turtle
This is one of my favorite skulls. It isn’t the biggest or the most unusual but I love the intense amount of texture that snapping turtle skulls have.
made these earrings 8 years ago using small vials and mouse vertebrae
2013: The hunter who shot this deer didn’t notice that the extra bulk on the antlers was a bunch of rope and thought he’d gotten an absolute monster of a buck before he recovered the body (though if you ask me, the antlers under the ropes are nothing to sneeze at).
