The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, December 20, demonstrate that Ian is as good as his word. He told Jordan that he intended to get to Mariah via Tessa. So, today, he goes after Mariah via Tessa.
Bad Wishes
Ian (Ray Wise) explained to Jordan (Colleen Zenk) that since Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) didn’t know what he looked like, Ian could use Tessa to get within striking distance of Mariah (Camryn Grimes). Personally, we have a hard time believing that Mariah never told her wife about what she went through with the cult leader, who she thought of as a father—who then drugged and tried to marry her. And if Mariah had told Tessa about it, we would have had a hard time believing Tessa hadn’t googled Ian to learn more. But, we guess she’s not a very curious sort.
Meanwhile, here’s something else we didn’t expect: That it would be Ian urging Jordan to get more vicious. This is a woman who kidnapped an infant, led her family to think Baby Eve was dead, taught Claire (Hayley Erin) to hate her family, and then used her to try and kill them all. How much more vicious does Ian want Jordan to be?

Looking Good
Daniel (Michael Graziadei) is still mourning Heather (Vail Bloom)—and we don’t blame him for that. Nonetheless, he wants Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) to enjoy her holiday. We don’t blame him for that, either.

What we do blame Daniel for is continuing to listen to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) spew her nonsense about Sharon (Sharon Case). She knows Sharon didn’t put her in the hospital, but she still acts like Sharon did. Because, hey, she could have, right? And that’s just as bad as being guilty. Is it any wonder Nick (Joshua Morrow) is worried about Sharon’s safety? Not just from Phyllis, but from whoever obviously set Sharon up, too.
