- Holotype: ZFMK 62235, adult ♂, collected by F. Glaw on 31 January 1996.
- Type locality: “on a trail near Hotel Feon'ny Ala (18° 56.845'S, 48° 25.078'E, ca. 940 m a.s.l.), at ca. 2.5 km distance from the village of Andasibe, central eastern Madagascar”.
