札幌駅北口からは徒歩で3分程度、ホテルマイステイズ札幌アスペン1階にある居酒屋。本日は、1泊2日での札幌出張の1日目ということで、予定していた午後の仕事を無事終え、夕方予約しておいたホテルにチェックイン。部屋で暫らく休憩をしてから、上司と夕食に出掛けたのだが、前日降った雪で道路には凍結している部分があり、寒さも厳しかったことから、遠出を避けてホテルの直ぐ傍にあった当店に、思い切って飛び込んでみることにした。お店の前に着いたのは17時半前だったので、先客はまだほとんど入っていない状況。店内は照明を少し落としたお洒落な雰囲気で、我々は店内中央のテーブル席に案内された。
まずは飲み物ということで、プレミアムモルツ生ビール(中タンブラー:680円)とジンジャーエール(330円)で乾杯し、食べ物の方は暫し検討の結果、貝風呂(1680円)、室蘭焼きとり(300円)、伝統のカニクリームコロッケ(480円)、サーモンかま焼き(580円)を注文。お通し(450円)は〆鯖とキウイの冷製で、結構美味しかったことから、この後に出て来る料理も期待できそう。貝風呂の具材は、厚岸産あさり、宗谷産ほたて、網走産しじみ、灯台つぶ、豆腐、わかめといった構成であったが、とにかく出汁が旨い。ビッグサイズのほたては、肉厚で食べ応え十分。追加注文したラーメン(1人前:200円)は、旨味が凝縮した出汁で食べるので美味しいに決まっている。室蘭焼きとりは、豚肉と玉ねぎの串焼きで、塩味の脂身が最高に旨い。伝統のカニクリームコロッケは、見た目は小振りだが、半分に割ってみると、カニの身がギッシリと詰まっているのが嬉しい。
その後、根室産たちの天ぷら(800円)、ホッケの干物炙り(ハーフサイズ:980円)を追加注文したのだが、たちの天ぷらは、口の中で蕩けてしまう程の軟らかな食感。そこそこお腹一杯になるまで飲み食いしたが、お勘定は一人当たり5000円弱で済んだ。事前情報なしで飛び込みで入ったお店であったが、「北海道食市場」と言うだけあって、北海道ならではの美味しい料理が味わえたので十分満足。リニューアルしたばかりでレビュー数はまだ少ないが、お勧めできるお店なので興味を持った方は是非どうぞ。
