向ヶ丘遊園のもつ焼き屋「鈴秀」へ限定入荷のカンガルーステーキ(600円)。オーストラリア産のカンガルーのストリップロイン。カンガルー肉の中でもクセが少ない部位だそう。お尻に近い背中の肉で脂身のほとんどない赤身。
炭火でじっくり焼いて最後はアルミホイルでしばらく包んで肉を休ませたのであったかレア。カンガルーは初めて食べたけど、今まで食べた肉だと本州鹿やダチョウに似てるかな。
ステーキにはイタリアワインをチョイス。グラス1杯600円。赤身肉だから赤は合うけど、マセレーション(皮漬け)の琥珀色の白ワインもステーキにバッチリ合った。
日本酒は大人気の「而今」飲み比べセット。左から東条山田錦、にごりざけ、愛山火入れ。而今の濁りは初めて飲んだ。ぷちぷちした微発泡で心地よい甘酢っぱさ。大人の高級カルピスソーダ。愛山火入れは而今シリーズの中でも甘さがすっきりした上品な味わい。東条山田錦はどこまでも綺麗な味わい。
