MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. Russian forces are containing Ukrainian troops near Volchansk in the Kharkov Region not to let them stage a counterattack, head of the regional military-civilian administration Vitaly Ganchev told TASS.

"The Battlegroup North is taking steps to block Ukrainian troops who are attacking our positions in the Volchansk area from various sides, including from the Kupyansk area. Tactical actions are being taken to contain a serious counteroffensive by Ukrainian armed units," he said.

According to Ganchev, "no serious changes" are observed in the Volchansk area, with Russian forces continuing to hold their positions and not letting Ukrainian troops "to advance deeper into our defenses.".
