The story shows a disillusioned man who captures a businessman thinking that he is an alien invader, taking him to be an alien and torturing him as a means of interrogation. Thus, a tense battle of wits ensues among the man, his girlfriend, a private detective, and the businessman/alien invader. Along with Stone, Jesse Plemons is also a part of the film. Will Tracy has written the screenplay based on Jang Joon-hwan’s original. The film is currently in its post-production stage and will be released on November 7, 2025.

2. Eddington (TBA)

An A24 production, ‘Eddington’ is a Western horror drama written and directed by Ari Aster and stars Emma Stone, Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Austin Butler, and Deirdre O’Connell. It will follow a small-town Sheriff in New Mexico with high ambitions and a stranded couple. Aster directed ‘Hereditary’ (2018) and ‘Midsommar’ (2019), which makes us wonder just how twisted ‘Eddington’ will be and in what way. It is currently in its post-production phase and can be expected to arrive sometime in 2025.

3. Cruella 2 (TBA)

After the resounding success of ‘Cruella,’ it became evident that a sequel was not only warranted but also highly anticipated, given the intricate groundwork laid for a follow-up. While the plot details are being kept tightly under wraps, Stone is confirmed to return in her titular role for the sequel. Furthermore, she also serves as an executive producer of the project. Additionally, Craig Gillespie is back in the director’s chair to steer this cinematic ship. The project is only in the pre-production phase, but fans and enthusiasts eagerly await the movie, which promises to be another captivating installment in the Cruella saga.

4. Misadventure (TBA)

To be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (of ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ fame), this movie too is going to be a rom-com starring Stone, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Julianne Moore. The plot, based on a story by Mark Hammer, is under wraps, and the project is in its pre-production phase. More details on this exciting project are awaited.

5. Untitled Universal Emma Stone/Dave McCary Film (TBA)

Emma Stone and her husband, Dave McCary, are reportedly in talks to work together on a yet-untitled project for Universal. Stone will star in the film, while McCary (‘Brigsby Bear’ (2017)) will direct it. Patrick Kang and Michael Levin, who worked on ‘Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.,’ will write the script. Shawn Levy serves as a producer along with Dan Levine, Dan Cohen, and Michael H. Weber. No other information about the project is available.
