No, it isn't impolite.
Let me tell you what my mama always tells me:
If it calls, and it's not a number you know or you're expecting to hear from, don't answer it.
You don't have to answer it—just let it ring. You don't know who this is, so why answer it?
Don't care 'bout the caller's feelings, 'cause for all you know, that could be a scammer or somethin'
Also a tip:
After the phone stops ringing and goes to voicemail, look up the number and its origins—just to make sure.
You can do this through Google or on a website we sometimes use.
If the call was important they should leave you a voicemail regarding what the call was about and tell you how to contact them. Scammers don't seem to do this I'm my experience.

a/n: I honestly never stopped and thought about what he looked like lol but this is a super interesting idea! Also, so there’s no surprises his appearance is a mix between Happy Halloween Scooby-Doo and BTAS. He has the head shape and hair of HHSD but the hair color and eyes of BTAS if that makes any kind of sense lol, basically just combining two variants I like the most essentially, but feel free to ignore my descriptions and put in what features you guys want instead lol

There's Mermaids which is always a great option, and then Scotland-specific there's LGBT Youth Scotland, to give you just a couple. There will absolutely be more that other people can suggest though!
switchboard.lgbt and akt.org.uk are two i regularly support, and there’s always stonewall !
trans aid cymru is a mutual aid group rather than a charity but ill always shout them out for wales specific trans community support! they have a donation page here
Not A Phase- Run trans self defence, fitness and swimming clubs and have been asking for help with funding recently.
Trans Harm Reduction- Help test HRT sources to make sure they're safe for people DIYing, and also distribute injection supplies.
Trans Kids Deserve Better- Protest group made up of trans young people
